SYA Group, Inc. specializes in producing comprehensive emergency response and contingency plans for local government, hospitals, utilities, and corporations. The planning process begins with a committee assembled to oversee the project. They review an outline of the plan and review plan sections as they are written.
Emergency response and contingency plans include development of an Emergency Management Organization (EMO). This is shown in an organization chart with specific duties and responsibilities assigned for each EMO position. The EMO provides a means for an organization to shift from normal operations to emergency management operations. In California, the Standardized Emergency Management System (SEMS) format is used for government and emergency response agencies.
Plan organization and chapter format is determined by the client and reflects the way the plan will be used in the organization. The plan is developed for use as a training document and also provides specific tools (checklists, vendor lists, contact information, forms, etc.) that are used during response operations.
Each plan also includes extensive information to guide recovery planning and is provided to the client on CD-ROM or disk along with plan maintenance instructions.
SYA Group can build an entire plan, including response tools, to be accessed for training and response on the organizationšs Intranet. In addition to plan writing, SYA Group offers services to update the plan each year and conduct response drills and exercises of the plan.
